To keep in mind
HERE SOME SHOTS!
Aphorisms of mine, twisted proverbs, counter-quotes...
Someone who stands without doubts is certainly wrong. Those who remain with no certainty are most definitely lost.
No solution, no problem.
Start looking from another perspective.
When the wise man points to the stars, the foolish man looks at the finger, the slavish man looks at the wise man, the fool heals everywhere. Another wise man looks at the stars and if he looks well he may find himself within the universe.
Even if someone has missed the wise man pointing, still the stars are always up there to be seen and recounted.
Truth is often elementary, while remaining exciting.
At the same time, truth remains very complex to grasp, as it needs a lot of efforts to be understood.
Calling things by their proper names is a political act carried out in the name of truth and justice.
The history studied in school unfolds in its entirety only when you study the history taught in other countries' schools.
Great leader, tyrant, liberator, terrorist, hero, murderer. Victory or tragedy. How do you read it?
Knowledge through the study of facts and sources is the only way to reconstruct a sound sense of reality.
Knowledge is functional to judgment.
Judgment is functional to discernment.
Dismantling the prejudices that life and society have instilled in us is functional to understanding.
It is pointless to expect not to judge others. It is fool to expect not to be judged by others.
I would not search for an artificial intelligence now. We have intelligence potentially, we just could learn to use it much better before attempting to replicate it.
At the same time I appreciate artificial repositories to ask questions and get quick, brief, exhaustive answers, to think along with the conclusions of great past and present minds.
Is it a contradiction? Maybe it is exactly the same. Anyway, you do not uncritically accept any statement.
In the meanwhile, I'd prefer a better use of the artificial tools humanity invented.
To create artificial intelligenge, first we should learn how to get rid of human stupidity.
When do you think you can stop if you are a guinea pig inside a Milgram experiment?
Don't ask you what your country can do for you. Don't ask you what you can do for your country. Ask you what you can do for yourself and those you love. Now think about causes and consequences, and then ask you again what you can really do for yourself and for everybody else.
No one is a trivial person.
What do animal think all time long? I believe they contemplate and empathize. They cannot see consequences very well as their mind is more oriented to the present. Conversely they are able to relax with all their senses on alert.
You can look for the right questions within yourself. But the right answers need to be checked round and round.
Uomo avvisato, mezzo salvato. Forewarned is half saved. Equipped is half forearmed.
Everyone has a noble purpose, but few are willing to listen to what everyone else has to say about that goal.
Il sole bacia tutti, belli e brutti. The sun kisses everybody, the uglies and the beauties.
Contradictions are the salt of a full and interesting life.
It is all about getting the right rhythm at the right time with your body and mind.
Le parole sono importanti! Words are important! Then one should really pay attention to meanings and languages evolving day after day. Consecutio temporum with verbs is equally fundamental. Finally, the subject who formulates a sentence and the contexts in which it is spoken or written must be always kept in mind. Censoring the past cannot bring any good.
Cancel culture is barbaric.
The Italian language has many nuances that are sometimes lost in English. English uses circumlocutions, adding different perspectives.
Honesty isn't always elegant. It often calls for a little irreverence, sometimes it calls for a bit of discourtesy, sometimes it's met with offense. Satire is the most graceful form of honesty, even when it gets unkind and gross.
Love is blind, yet it can perfectly see.
It can be the source of many mistakes, yet it remains the best choice, all things considered.
The moon always shows us the same face as it circles the sky. But she sees us from every angle.
