Of time and space
Metaphysics and surroundings
In "Relativity and Universal Time" I present a revised Minkowski spacetime model which is compatible with the existence of a Universal Present. There are no privileged observers and yet there is a privileged observation: the Universal Present, the instant at which all simultaneous events come to be. I followed the idea that no matter what we are looking at, and no matter how far or close we are looking from, we see things as they were. What we see and feel is an hologram of the past, a reverberation made of information brought by light and gravity, a projection of what was happening. I define the Universal Present as the simultaneity line when matter exist, lying on the spacial dimension. Yet we cannot see it, we only see our proper present. In this theory of relativity, as presented in the model, there is a clear division between past, present and future
NOTE - I began thinking about the stars. They are not where we see them, they are already somewhere far far away, maybe even dead. Everything we see is in the past, even only slightly, even very near. Then I delved a bit into the theories of physics and I tried to formalise the idea. I wrote the first version trying to keep it short and simple, yet fairly argued, focusing on light. It aims at providing a common framework for relativity and quantum theory, with a lot of deducing and visualising and very little maths. Mathematicians and Physicists can do that so much better.

Light and Gravity are reverberations of past physical events that live up in an absolute present. They fill our proper presents with information. Mass exists only in the absolute present, while proper presents are filled uniquely by waves, gravitational and electromagnetic reverberations of something that has already gone by.
We witness a wave of reverberations of light and gravity, in our given moment, of what matter was in various individual, proper space-times. Meanwhile, matter is present in the universal present, and only there.
I imagined I was a ray of light. In front things flow more or less slowly, most of them appear to be still. Behind is emptiness, an indefinite space with nothing that can reach me, not even another ray of light. In a sense there is no behind. I can't step back in space like I can't step back in time, into the past. If I bump into something, that change my direction and therefore my perspective completely, I see a spacetime of which I had no perception before.
Advancing without having a behind, when looking back the light faces nothingness.
The vertex angle of a light cone, as intended in special and general relativity, is extremely wider than the vertex angle of a sound cone. Let's imagine a blind entity seeing through sound: its proper present is much more delayed than the proper present of an entity perceiving light. Being able to hear far enough, it can listen to a very old universe. Still, this entity can feel gravity as it is reached by it, and it can touch matter. To this entity, there would be a lot of dark matter.
A kind of gravity cone that has a vertex angle wider than the one of the light angle could explain dark matter. But this would imply something related to gravity should travel faster than light.
Out world is made through a lot of determinism and an all-encompassing chaos where the rules of probabilities apply. This small amount of chaos is enough to make the future unpredictable. Life adds chaos to the system. And it allows a bit of self-determination.
